Mr. Barber began his career in New York City with JP Morgan’s investment banking unit focusing on mergers and acquisitions, public equity offerings and corporate credit. Subsequently, he gained valuable real estate financial and operational experience working for a regional residential development firm with a $350 million residential development portfolio. Mr. Barber then joined Odyssey Capital Group (now KRyS Global), where he was instrumental in large-scale real estate, gaming, and corporate debt restructurings and capital raise mandates representing more than $10 billion in transaction value. Mr. Barber advised an $8 billion real estate private equity fund on the establishment of a distressed debt/real estate acquisition platform and led efforts to identify and analyze several distressed assets. He has extensive expertise in financial planning and analysis in addition to equity and debt capital raises for single and multi-family real estate projects.
